San Francisco Zion Church is a non-denominational Christian church. Non-denominational means “not formally aligned with a specific Protestant denomination” and “open or acceptable to people of all Christian denominations.”
As of 2010, there were “over 35,000 independent or nondenominational churches representing more than 12,200,000 adherents*” in the United States. The number is greater today. Although non-denominational churches may not ascribe to a specific Protestant denomination, they nonetheless adhere to the basic tenets of Christianity in their practices.

Our church is not restricted to San Francisco, but serves a diverse congregation that spans the entire Bay Area and the Solano, Yolo, and Sacramento County areas. We also have congregation members who live abroad in different countries. Although they may be physically apart from us, they are one in heart with us as we fellowship together in spirit and in truth.
The “Zion” portion of our name comes from the mount of Zion that we see in the Old and New Testament of the Christian Bible.
Zion was the city that King David took from the Zebusites and the temple of God was built there. Therefore, it was considered the holy hill (or mount) where God dwelled and was special to the people of God.
In the New Testament, Zion has particular significance in representing the place where God and the Lamb are with the chosen and faithful followers.
If you have any further questions about our church, such as our activities or events, please inquire further using our contact form at the bottom of the website, or email us at contact@sfzion.org.
If you’d like to find out how you can join our ministry, please make note of that in your email / message.
Currently, we are not holding any in-person activities due to COVID-19 and different regulations in our respective areas. For the sake of public health and for the well-being of our congregation and their families, all activities and services have moved to being online.
If you’d like to participate in a public event with us online, or would like to speak with someone to inquire more, please fill out the contact form at the bottom of the website or email us at contact@sfzion.org.
Our summarized statement of faith can be found in the ‘About Us’ page of the website. It is found using the main menu at the top of the website.
However, we understand there are limitations in conveying the depth and complexities of our faith and Christian theology in just a few sentences. As most members join the church after careful deliberation and months of Scriptural studies, SFZC is for believers who have taken the time to reason with the Bible and have found their faith to be true.
If you’d like to find out more about the Bible, and what SFZC teaches, contact us and we’d be happy to sit down (over Zoom or phone) and share the gospel with you.
At the present time, we unfortunately have halted all in-person services and events due to COVID-19. If you would like to check out our public online events, please contact us expressing your interest using the contact form at the bottom of the website or email us at contact@sfzion.org.
We will get back to you as soon as we can with any available or upcoming events that are open to the public to join. Thank you for your interest in our ministry! We can’t wait to fellowship with you.
We thank you for your great heart for serving our community! Currently at this time, SFZC is volunteering remotely due to COVID-19 and we are actively practicing social distancing and safety measures to ensure we protect our congregation and our community’s health.
Yes, absolutely! We would love to discuss with you about volunteering opportunities that we can collaborate on together. Please reach out to us at contact@sfzion.org with the subject title: [COMMUNITY SERVICE]. We look forward to hearing from you!
At this time, we don’t have any social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and the like). If you want to follow and be updated on what we are doing as a community, please continue to check in on our website from time to time as we regularly update it.
Our church serves the larger Bay Area community, from Palo Alto to Roseville! Our members span different communities and neighborhoods, but our physical location is in Vacaville, CA. At this time, we are not meeting in person due to COVID-19 and social distancing protocols. Please contact us via email if you have any questions!
